1) While closing Kayla felt a little shock moving the cord for the freezer. Turns out all the wheeling over it has the cord frayed. Maybe this is why it keeps losing temp over night?? I let Jason know, but be aware when you are splashing liquid on the floor, there is exposed wire!!!
2) When you stock beer and take stuff from the top shelves in the walk-in, DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT push unused 6packs to the back wall. It has already caused 3 instances of broken bottles, lumps on the head and generally angry bar mates. There are only a couple of us tall enough to even achieve such a task and it certainly wasn't me... Be aware of what your actions pay forward to everyone else.
3) I reorganized the shelves in the dry store a little. Ian is changing the price of back stocked beers to $4.25, i.e. the price of a Bud Light and Friends. This will mean that all employees can now purchase everything (except Framboise and Hennepin) for $2.30. I ran the numbers to convince him it would work, so bottoms up. Not sure when the price will get updated on Vista, but it will be within the week. As this shelf space comes available, let's make sure we are on the same page with what goes where.
4) Credit card tabs - This is in response to the previous post. Jason VERY MUCH wants us to just flag him or whatever manager down to do immediate comps of credit card employee drink tabs. We had a problem tonight with it, even doing it "right". So, no more tabs for people paying with cards. Get the comp right then and there. It might be a pain in the ass, but the alternative is losing money and it being our fault. Or, smack the employee around and make them pay with cash like a normal person.
5) Lastly, remind Nick or whomever is on PM Tix to sweep the walk-in and mop if need be. This is not getting done at all and it makes sense for the ticket person to just go ahead and knock that out too.
To end on a humorous note....
I have often wondered about possible electric shock from mopping. My head also still hurts. Quite the irony to die from a fallen dead guy bottle.
ReplyDeletefinally, overstocked beers on discount. I will do my part to get rid of these..
