86 Page, Glass, Last night

Hey kiddos, I added an 86 page sidebar that I hope we will continually update as appropriate. So check it. Also, consider posting a copy of it in the break room? Also constantly updated. Though I understand that when we're busy we may not have time to update them, but it's an effort that we should make so servers (Austin) don't try to ring up shit we've 86ed.

Anyone else feel we need to seriously re-organize glassware? Kirk was talking to the adults about putting pitcher racks above the beer wall. Also some things to consider: when we pull a ticket, our first instinct is to grab a pint from Pancho. Also, let's start stocking carafes on the same side as the champagne (they're like that already but just for future reference) so that mimosa-making is one less trip across the bar. It makes sense to stock champagne glasses on the same side as the champagne, too. Just some things to think about.

If you were with us last night (1/2), you already know about the shitstorm that occurred during the 7 o'clock rounds. We've agreed that one of the contributors to the crazy was movie time spacing, which we can't do much about except make it known (as it has).

Hokay, finally, as Spencer touched on previously, bring a Sharpie and put the date on deliveries! And when putting said deliveries away, face it so that the date is visible. Or you can just write the date on all sides. Either way. Rotation, etc. Let's do it right.

That's all I can think of right now. We're heading into slow season after our first busy season with the new bar, so let's use this time to perfect the keeping of the bar.

Also, be sure to read Stephanie's post about French press care!

Tanks!

  1. Just realized that pages are only editable by admins. So I might make everyone an admin. Don't be afraid of the new options on the Blogger dashboard, but also don't fuck with other people's posts.

Or, I may just give everyone the password to the admin account.
